Toner powderFrom a Kyocera toner safety data sheet (e.g. for model TK5282) we see:
• The toner is a fine powder solid. 
• Color: black (for monochrome)
• Relative density: about 1.2 – 1.4 g/cm³ for typical toner powders in Kyocera SDSs. 
• Resin / binder materials (copolymers) to melt/fuse the toner to paper
• Pigments (carbon black) for black coloration
• Additives (flow agents, charge control agents, release agents) to control how toner flows, charges, and fuses cleanly
• The toner is designed to soften / melt at the fuser temperature (so that it adheres firmly to paper)

Also, from a general toner SDS example:
• Toner may contain amorphous silica as a flow / release agent, in small amounts. 
• Flash point isn’t always applicable (toner is not a liquid). But heating / decomposition may produce combustion gases under extreme conditions.

3. Performance & Usage Characteristics
• Compatibility: For printers like Kyocera P2040, M2040, and similarly spec’d machines. (Aftermarket powders for Kyocera 2040 often list these models.  )
• Yield / Coverage: The yield depends heavily on how much toner is used per page (e.g. 5 % coverage). Some aftermarket listings don’t reliably state yield.

Hazards & Precautions
• Toner is generally low hazard under normal use, but fine dust inhalation should be avoided — it can irritate respiratory system. 
• Eye contact can cause transient irritation.
• Skin contact is usually not severely irritating, but washing hands after handling is recommended.
• Ingestion is not a typical route of exposure for intended use, but accidental ingestion should be treated (rinse, medical attention if needed).
• Avoid creating airborne dust clouds of toner (good ventilation is important).
• Spills: collect powder carefully (preferably with vacuum suited for fine powders or wet wiping) — avoid blowing toner into the air. 
• Do not attempt to open / damage toner containers in non-approved ways.
• Keep away from moisture and high heat; store in a cool, dry, dark place.
• Avoid strong oxidizing agents, and conditions that may cause decomposition (excess heat).
• Disposal: follow local regulations for toner waste; do not incinerate toner cartridges/powder containers by yourself (risk of sparks or damaging equipment).

• Poor quality or incorrect toner can damage the photoreceptor drum, developer units, or fuser assembly.
• Using an incompatible melting point or charge characteristic may lead to poor adhesion, smearing, or poor print quality.
• Reusing / refilling many times can accumulate contamination or degrade performance.
• Toner powder is not uniformly interchangeable across brands or models — even small deviations in particle size, resin, or charge controller can impact results.
